CAN'T HEAR THE AUDIOPOST?
Turn up your volume on your computer to hear this audio post.
"Please don't think you are missing out if you cannot get the audiopost to work in your organisation, some have firewalls that prevent this from playing on your machine or you might not have a sound card or Windows media player. Even without this you can still read the same information in the transcript that is always offered below the audio post.
Thank you to those who have contacted me about this blog, for some people it is a new way of communicating and might take a little getting used to. We might try it for a few months until the 'official' discussion forum is up and running on the IHM website, and then decide if we want to keep it or not.
For now - join me in learning about the newest ways to communicate with lots of healthcare managers across the UK. "

Hi Jozefa, good to see the site up and away.
An interesting topic that will I feel tax mamagers is the advent of the new age law. Especially around applications for jobs.
My understanding is that application forms will have to have no reference to age or even when school or qualifications were obtained. Is that how others see it working.
Hi Roger, I really hope you get some responses to your question via this comments area. I will monitor these and if necessary post it in its own right to make it more prominent.
Just a personal response, I no longer put my date of birth or age on my CV, as I feel it is irrelevant to whether I can do the job/contract or not and I don't wish to be discriminated against because of my [increasing] years. I am not sure about the school or qualifications bit, though am less interested in WHEN someone learned something and more interested in WHAT they have done with that learning or HOW they have used their knowledge in the workplace since their qualification.
